What you type into a calculator
Nothing entered into a calculator, invoice, payslip or quote on this site is sent to a server, stored, or seen by anyone but you. Every tool is JavaScript running in your own browser. There are no accounts, no logins and no uploads, and closing the tab discards everything — which is also why you need to print or save a document you want to keep.
This matters more than it sounds on the generators. An invoice carries your ABN and your customer’s details; a payslip carries an employee’s name, pay and super fund. The safest place for that information is your own machine, so that is where it stays. Printing uses your browser’s print dialog, and Save PDF builds the file in the page itself, so any PDF is produced on your device. A logo you add is read by your browser in the same way: it is never uploaded, and it is gone when you close the tab.
Share links
Where a calculator offers “share this result”, the values travel in the fragment of the link — the part after the #. Browsers never transmit a fragment to a server, so a shared link stays between you and whoever you send it to. When such a link is opened, the values are read into the page and immediately cleared from the address bar.
What the site does collect
Bizroo is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it records standard server request information — the page requested, the time, your IP address, and your browser’s user agent — and uses it to serve the site and protect it from abuse. That is Cloudflare’s processing, under their terms, and it happens for every website you visit anywhere.
Analytics
We count pages so we know which calculators help and which ones fail people. It is aggregated, it does not identify you, and it never contains anything you typed into a calculator.
It is measured two ways, and they are not the same kind of thing. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a small script that reports each page view from your browser to Cloudflare. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, so there is nothing to agree to and nothing to switch off. Google Analytics tells us more — which pages people arrive on, and what they read next — but it does set a cookie.
Because it sets a cookie, Google Analytics is not loaded for everyone. If you are visiting from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, it loads only after you have accepted the notice at the bottom of the page; decline and it is never loaded at all. If we cannot tell where you are visiting from, we ask rather than assume. Your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device only, so the notice does not ask again. The page counts above run either way, so declining costs you nothing and costs us very little.
Advertising
Bizroo shows advertising from Google AdSense, which is what pays for the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites, and third parties may place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons or IP addresses, to collect information as a result of ads being served here. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google in Ads Settings. Other vendors and ad networks may also serve ads here through Google’s system; you can opt out of many of them using cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Google explains what it does with information from the sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you are visiting from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google shows you personalised ads only with your consent.
Bizroo itself never builds a profile of you, and Google does not share the one its advertising uses with us: we see totals, such as how many ads were shown. Nothing you type into a calculator reaches an ad, and advertising has no effect on any calculation — no advertiser can change a figure or a recommendation on this site, and none is given the opportunity to try.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own, and there is no account. Of its own, it keeps one thing between visits: your answer to the analytics notice, in your browser’s local storage rather than a cookie, and only where the notice was shown. (On our own devices it also keeps a flag that stops Google Analytics counting our visits.) Google’s analytics and advertising scripts, where they load, may store data of their own in your browser, as the sections above describe. The only cookies that can appear are Google’s: its Analytics cookies, where the Analytics section says they may, and its advertising cookies, as the Advertising section describes.
Other sites
Pages here link to the Federal Register of Legislation, the ATO, the Australian Business Register and similar sources, because that is where the figures come from. Those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not extend to them.
Children
This is a site about GST and business paperwork. It is not directed at children, and Bizroo itself collects nothing from anyone.
Changes, and asking
If this policy changes, the review date at the top changes with it. If something here is unclear or you want to ask what is held about you — the answer is almost certainly “nothing” — the contact page says how to reach us.
